So, as you may have read from the title of this post which comes 2 months after my last post, it seems that the BluRay version of Canaan is only shipping if you ordered it from RightStuf. Amazon has stated that they didn’t receive any copies and are put on a 2 month backorder until further notice. Many other people in this thread on ANN are stating they had the same or similar happen to them with other stores.
Just getting a warning out for those who happened to be waiting for a shipping confirmation from Amazon and didn’t receive one. I myself hit them up wit ha question and got an answer back quickly, so that’s how I know about the backorder. Just gonna cancel my Amazon order, pay the extra $6, and wait a a couple extra days I suppose to get it from RightStuf since at least they should ship it out accordingly.
Also, to those who are all “LOL, YOU MAD? I HAZ MUH COPY ON DUH DVD!” Fuck you and your toilet. Ok, not really, but I am still mad.
There, I answered it for you. Now just vote for those characters and I will be happy. Though, I think I may have been a little unfair since I voted for all the Clannad characters, but I don’t care because it is #1 in my mind.
All this does is make the wait for the US BluRay release of Evangelion 1.11 even longer. I haven’t seen the movie yet since I wanted to wait for a US license and since FUNimation will be releasing the Evangelion 1.11 BluRay on March 9, 2010.
Though, the surprising part is that Bakemonogatari didn’t beat it. It was the highest for quite a few months. Not that I mind. I enjoy Bakemonogatari also, but Evangelion is better in my opinion. I’m just glad that Queen’s Blade didn’t beat either one even though it will probably be the guilty pleasure of mine when it is released next summer here in the US.
If you want to rest of the listing’s for the year, go here. (It’s in Japanese for the most part)
CANAAN isn’t even done yet, and we already have a movie set of movies being made for it. 3 movies are set to start coming out in October that will essentially retell the anime with added scenes and what not. So, basically, you get the anime again, just, it takes up 3 movies instead of 13 episodes.
Japan seems to enjoy these a lot. Evangelion is getting some, Gurren Lagann is getting them, even Eden of The East. Maybe one day they will focus on making new seasons instead though, that would be much better.
Why can’t people maybe come to North Carolina for once. I know that the Girl Who Leapt Through Time was shown at Duke last year and that Viz has there movies shown in Charlotte all the time, but I can’t go that far for a movie at the moment. I guess I will have to live with it though.
