Spice and Wolf II, Eden Of The East Movies, And Chobits Licensed By FUNimation

Well, not too long ago today, FUNi announced 3 more acquisitions. Spice and Wolf II, Eden of the East movies, and Chobits (rescue) were all licensed.

Currently, they are all set for release in 2011 on DVD and BluRay.

Damn, even  a year long wait for a rescued title? FUNi is seriously going to have to start speeding up since Sentai is so fast and is becoming more and more popular.

Bleach In Hollywood?

Another possible live-action Hollywood adaptation of a anime/manga. This time it is Bleach. The company will maybe be Warner Bros.

……

………

What? Hmmm… I don’t know how this will end up. All I can say is that I don’t expect much. Peter Segal is supposed to be the producer if all goes well, and based on his past movies, I can say say that their is a good chance Bleach won’t be good. Hell, the fact that all the other anime Hollywood adaptations have sucked makes it a good chance.

I will post more as it becomes available. But, I hope no more happens since I don’t want another thing I like to be ruined.

IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED! TORADORA LICENSED FOR US RELEASE!

you know, it is always good to follow people on Twitter, if I never used Twitter, I would have found out this news tomorrow instead of today. Now time for my fangasmic rage.

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROMMMNAGBOTTYREWN!

SHIT-YEAH DELUXE! PORK CHOPS!

Ok, now that I have that out of my system. Lets get to the story. NIS America is now releasing anime? Hmm… AWESOME! Surprising though. Never expected them to get into anime licensing, but I guess I have seen weirder things happen before.

They also licensed Pandora Hearts, Persona ~Trinity Soul~, and Wagaya no Oinarisama (Our Home’s Fox Deity). But who cares about those? (I kinda want to see Pandora Hearts, and will pick up Persona)

Currently, pre-orders are set to start for Toradora later this month and the DVDs are supposed to start releasing in April. So… FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! I MIGHT NOT HAVE THE MONEY THEN! I HAVE HAD ALL MY ANIME PURCHASES PLANNED OUT FOR THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS SO I COULD SAVE FOR ANIMAZEMENT! DAMN YOU NIS AMERICA. Wait, I am sorry, I mean I love you for releasing it, just wish it was at a more convenient time for me.

Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost Trailer Posted

The second movies trailer is now up after the movie being delayed to add in an extra 30 minutes of footage.

Here is the link to the trailer for all to watch it.

I know the first movie was a retelling of the series, but I am not sure if the second is a continuation of that or if it is a proper sequel. I guess we will find out soon enough though since the movie starts showing in Japanese theaters on March 13, 2010.

FUNimation Gets The Sacred Blacksmith And Hetalia

FUNimation has announced some more anime, this time it’s The Sacred Blacksmith and Hetalia.

Currently they are both set for a Fall 2010 release in the US with Hetalia coming in 2 parts.

The Sacred Blacksmith centers around a girl named Cecil who joins  the Knight Guard to fight the monsters that plague the city. But she also has the Sacred blacksmith on her side to make the swords for her to use.

Hetalia is an anime of the stereotypical personifications of many nations and it is pretty funny. I only have seen 3 episodes, but I know I will be buying this when it comes out.

FLCL ON BLURAY! F*CK YEAH!

I was looking for some where that had FLCL in the ultimate DVD collection just last week. While I am still disappointed that they haven’t announced any new anime, at least I can finally get FLCL at a decent price instead of the extremely high prices that “collectors” want you to pay.

Currently, it is set for release on DVD and BluRay later in 2010, so we still have a while to wait. Let’s just hope the wait is worth it.
