I Officially Hate Fullmetal Alchemist Now!

PLEASE NOTE: This is by no means a high quality post, in fact, it is probably one of the shittiest I have done. There will more than likely be grammatical errors, run on sentences, and things that probably make no sense what so ever, but frankly, I don’t give a flying dog shit out of a rats ass since I do it for free and mostly for MY entertainment. More than likely, you will walk away if you read the whole thing thinking I am crazy and just nerd raged all over myself.

So, as you can see from the title of this post, I hate FMA now. Used to like it, but now I hate it. Mostly because it get  ratings that are too high, everyone who calls themselves an anime fan just because they watch FMA on Adult Swim, and because it uses the same tired old joke of “I AM NOT SHORT!” religiously.Oh, and it is partially because I started to attempt to re-watch it since my brother bought the first half of the original FMA, but I ended up just stopping because it was way to boring to me. Maybe I have changed over the years since it has been roughly 4 years since I last watched it, but it was just boring.

First, I will start off by addressing the rating. As you can see from my screen cap above, it has an average of 9.15 while Clannad ~After Story~ (a far superior show) has a rating of 9.07. I wouldn’t have cared that my favorite anime is #5 had FMA Brotherhood been below it, but what bothers me is the fact the FMA Brotherhood is at the top. I mean fuck shit balls, how many people from Adult Swim came and rated it that high? Because it sure as hell wasn’t like that before it came on Adult Swim. All the people that rated it 10 and 9 need to watch something other than AS, and if they watch a lot more anime, and still find FMA that good, then it is alright since they broadened their horizon. But most of the ratings came from the anime fans who only watch what comes on AS forgetting they can buy plenty from RightStuf and Amazon.

Now for the anime fans who have only seen FMA and think they are true fans. You aren’t, but you can be, all you gotta do is watch something else other than Adult Swim. This is one thing that pissed me off when I was in high school.

Everyone in the school knew me as the king anime watcher/gamer. Seriously, everyone knew that when I went home, that’s all I did, so I had quite a few of the AS only fans try to talk to me about anime, a lot. So, when I went off naming things like Toradora, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Clannad or Slayers, they looked at me like “WTF are those?” But if I were to mention Death Note, I was met with “HOLY SHIT! I FUCKING LOVE ELIMINATING PEOPLE WITH MY DEATH NOTE LIKE LIGHT!” *pulls out crappy home made death note* “SEE, ISN’T IT AWESOME!?!?” I myself like Death Note and all, but not that much. Damn it, I just realize I typed most of this paragraph with mentioning FMA. Well, you can essentially replace the underlined words with FMA related one to get the same thing.

And the retarded “I AM NOT SHORT!” joke, well, it was kinda funny the first time, the 1000th time after that, it wasn’t.

So, that was my rather crappy post about why I hate FMA now. I don’t expect anyone to actually find it of quality since I did it while tired and having to go to the bathroom really badly.

REMINDER: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood Begins Airing Tonight

Just reminding everyone that FMA: Brotherhood, the new version of the FMA anime that follows the manga more will be starting it’s TV run tonight on Adult Swim at midnight.

Adult Swim had a dry run for a  couple months since they quit showing new episodes of Bleach to dub the rest, but this will make up for it.

Hey Look, I Was Right About FMA: Brotherhood Coming To Adult Swim

Well, the news that FMA: Brotherhood was first broke here on February 2nd, but even though I sent in a tip to many major website (Japanator linked to my post though, which is another great site that I love.), they didn’t even know the news until LA Angeles weekly put it in their stuff.

But, It has been confirmed on FUNimation’s twitter also. Which can be viewed here.

So yeah, my specialty is information gathering, and that is what I did before everyone else. Such awesome skills that never get put too use though since most people want me to fix things instead. Oh well though, I may not get the credit I deserve, but I am still happy some people read my blog. And I am happy FMA: Brotherhood will be on TV.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood To Be On Adult Swim?

According to my DirecTV guide that got updated about an hour ago, it will be, at least it will be if you are to go based on when the first of possibly 3 new anime are to start showing on Adult Swim.

As of right now, I think I am the only one to have this news, so I feel special.

FMA: Brotherhood was licensed by FUNimation (they also hold the license to the first FMA series) so it isn’t to surprising to see this, but I was still hoping to see the English dub of Vampire Knight first.

Currently, it is set to air on Feb. 14 at 12:00AM (midnight).

Adult Swim’s New Anime To Start On February 14th

The image above has the schedule, but it is not Dial-Up friendly. But other than that, we have confirmation as to what it is, just a date of when it comes on.

I myself am expecting it to be InuYasha the final act since that is the sequel to one of Adult Swim’s most popular aired anime. But it could be Vampire Knight, or even Soul Eater. Either way, it would be something worthwhile. Though, I have already seen Vampire Knight and plan to just get it on DVD.

Adult Swim To Get 3 New Anime?

“We’re just clearing house for goodies from our last Tokyo visit. We can’t tell you anything yet, but we think we bought three series [maybe].”

That is what the little message on the screen said, and I think they may be telling the truth. Glad to see they don’t hate anime fans totally, but who knows, maybe its just a troll they are planning.

No other information of hints were given regarding what those possible 3 shows may be, but my guesses are Vampire Knight, InuYasha The Final Act, and I can’t think of what the other may be. But $50 (imaginary money since I am too poor to give out free money) says I am right  about the 2 I named.

11eyes Getting An OVA

The adult game turned anime will be getting an OVA on BluRay and DVD this coming June 25th. But, it will be a different story than the anime that is currently airing.

Set to follow Yuka, Misuzu, Yukiko, Kukuri, and Shiori instead of Satsuke, it is unknown what the story will entail. Considering the focus will be on the female cast, I expect it to be perverted in some way I’m sure.

I will update if there is anymore information released.

If you would like to know what 11eyes is about, you can go to my earlier post here.

New Crunchyroll Acquisitions Again

Seriously, they get like 2 a day now. Not that I’m complaining, I am glad they are getting more anime, but I don’t want them to go overboard and lose money.

Currently, there is no start date for Shin Koihime†Musō, and 11 Eyes starts on October 6th.

Inuyasha The Final Act English Trailer Posted

Inuyasha__Final_Act_Poster_by_Half_Demon_CaliI have been telling myself that it will be fun, but not the best thing this year. But, all of a sudden, after watching the trailer, I just want to watch Inuyasha non-stop until the new episodes start airing. I guess Inuyasha is better to me than I though, because I never thought i owuld be this excited.

Here is a link to the trailer.

Definitely an upgrade in animation quality that’s for sure. And since they aren’t going for a ton of episodes, it might focus on the main story a lot more. It’s almost like they are wanting to make this the best Inuyasha can possibly be. Good thing too, because it is the final chapter, so why not go all out for the stuff.

October 3 can’t come fast enough.

Crunchyroll To Stream 3 New Anime

asura-cryinCrunchyroll has added 3 new titles to its ever growing list of streaming anime. The newest additions are Asura Cryin’ 2, Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee, and Naked Wolves.

I still need to watch Asura Cryin’s first season, so I guess I will be watching that soon. Tegami Bachi seems like it might be alright. But Naked Wolves reminds me of Ultimate Muscle based on what I read, so I won’t be watching that.

Asura Cryin’ 2 starts September 30th at 10:00 p.m. EDT, Tegami Bachi starts October 3rd at 11:30 a.m. EDT, and Naked Wolves starts today.

Inuyasha The Final Act Simulcast Starting October 3rd

inuyashaNot much longer of a wait for all you Inuyasha fans. The subbed Simulcast will be starting soon on October 3rd for free.

According to Viz, it will be showing on Shonen Sunday’s website here and Hulu.com for all North American countries. I am not sure if out of country viewers will have access yet though.

I just wonder how long it will be before Adult Swim gets the rights to show it on TV so they can make it 10 episodes in and stop.

Inuyasha The Final Act To Start In October

Well, it’s almost here. The one anime I enjoy and hate at the same time will have it’s new season starting in less than a month.

Set for an October 10 release for other Asian countries on the Animax channel, we can expect Japan’s channel Yomiuri TV to show it 5 days before.

5 years since the original anime ended, The Final Act is the finale to the much loved anime that is popular all over the world. The manga ended a while ago, and this will the first new episode since September 2004.

Pretty sure I will watch it, mainly because I enjoyed the cheesiness of the original series. It was so stupid at times that I couldn’t help but smile. Plus, it’s nice to see old series being revived.

InuYasha Getting New Season This Fall

I don’t know if I should be excited or dread this announcement. Every single one of the emo kids I know will ruin this for me the moment they find out about it. So, I guess I better make sure I watch it the moment it comes on since none of them will know, I think.

The anime is set for a fall airing and will cover the final chapters or, volumes 36 through 56. Plus, the original Japanese cast will be back. Other than that, there is no other information. So, I have no idea how long the anime will be or if the art style will be the same.

InuYasha is the story of a half demon guy and his friends trying to get the shards of this jewel that give more power to whoever possesses them. Naraku is also after them just because he wants to be an ass hole. That’s the story. There is more stuff in it, but, I don’t want to type out more details. If you care that much, read the manga, or watch all 167 episodes of the original anime.

Asura Cryin’ Getting Second Season This Fall

asuraThe anim about this guy who has a friend that is a ghost or something is coming back for more.

Announced at the end of the last episode of season one, the second season is scheduled for this fall. So, all you Asura fans can watch more this fall.

Now, if only we could get more Toradora, Kannagi, or Zero no Tsukaima. Maybe one day. Better yet, how about more Kodomo no Jikan.

Just remember though, don’t download all your anime, you need to buy the anime if it’s licensed for the US.

11eyes Game Is Getting An Anime For This Fall

orqwz9More anime for this fall has been announced. This time it’s based off the adult game, 11eyes. I’m sure a couple of you perverts out there have played this, so you probably know more about it than I do. So, correct me if I get my quick summary based on what I have read, wrong.

11eyes is about this guy (I don’t remember his name) who turned emo when his last family member died. This family member was his sister. Soon though, he is transported to this world, along with his friend that he obviously wants to do it with, and 4 other classmates. They fight some monsters to try and get back to their original world. In the game, I am assuming that since it is an adult game, they have sex most of the time. But, the anime will do without that part since it will be on TV.

Is that correct? Tell me if I’m wrong so I can change it now.

Also, there will be a manga based on it coming out this fall along with the anime. I guess we will have to wait and see if they are any good, but I don’t have extremely high expectations for it. Not that I am expecting it to suck, just not as fantastic. More than likely it will just be somethign fun to watch while I wait for better things.
