The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya season 2 US release details

Well, it’s about time. We finally have a US release date for  the Season 2 box set and it is August 17, 2010.

It will include both English and Japanese voices, English ssubtitles, location scouting videos, Behind the scenes of a music video by Aya Hirano, promo videos, commercials, all the episodes of the Adventures of the ASOS Brigade, and a CD with the opening and ending.

MSRP is $64.98, but we all know it will be cheaper on most sites anyways. Hell, Amazon already has it listed for $44.99

This is a day 1 purchase for me, thats for sure. And it seems there are plenty of people excited for the release on facebook and a couple of the forums I have been on, even if Endless eight is on there. But, we will find out how many people actually buy it come August.

The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya Licensed By Bandai

More great Haruhi news announced today. Bandai has licensed The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya for US release later this year.

Bandai has once again proven to be great to me.

Currently the only place it is announced for theatrical release is Hawaii. Not really sure if this is the only state, but if it is, that sucks.

Haruhi Has Now Invaded Crunchyroll

Well, now Haruhi is available to all without the need  to steal it like many people will surely do anyways. Crunchyroll has added the original Haruhi anime to it’s line-up.

While this isn’t much help for me (I already have all the DVDs) it is helpful for those who haven’t seen it and are trying to save money. Hopefully this will get more people excited about the coming DVD release of Season 2.

Currently the first 4 episodes are  up, the rest will be up later next week.

My Thoughts On: B Gata H Kei Episode 1

Summary: A girl in high school plans to sex up like 100 guys. Hmm, sounds just like people at South Lenoir High School.

So yeah, I guess this scene right above should have been  a sign of what was to come in this simply horrendous anime of the season. I never laughed during the whole  episode. I feel like I was in a coma during the whole thing since none of it was funny to me. Normally I find these awkward sexual situation fan-service shows good in some fashion, but this was just BLAARRGGHHGS! through  the whole thing. I mean shit, wtf did I watch was all I could think at then end. For the rest of this post, hit the link below.

Crunchyroll To Simulcast Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru

Well, we seem to have another anime that will be simulcast on Crunchyroll this season. This time it is Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru, or Uraboku for short. The story of this centers around a guy named Yuki Sakurai who is attacked and then saved by some other guy who  is tall and wears black clothing. Yuki also has some weird ass powers that I’m sure he can shoot out of the tips of his noodle fingers of justice.

Not sure if I expect much from this, but I will more than likely try it out to see if I like it at least.

Currently it is set to start April 11th at 12PM EST.
