Shiki, The Vampires Are Cool Again Anime, Promo Up Now

Shiki, the anime that is making vampires cool again for me, has had it’s promo posted. Here be the link to it.

Shiki is about a village of roughly 1,300. Slowly, the people start to die off, and they eventually find out there is a vampire attack going on. That right there already makes it better than the other vampire shit the US has been releasing (Twilight). But what do I think based on the promo? well, there wasn’t really a whole lot to it. I know the art isn’t that bad, and there are some people that like to talk all at the same time, but that is about all I know from it.

Shiki is slated to start airing July 8th in Japan. ALso, it will probably be acquired by FUNimation based on the track record of Fuji TV anime.

Shiki Getting Anime From Aniplex

Shiki is about a mountain village of 1,300 people who start dying in groups. They later find out that they are being attacked by vampires.

Sounds interesting, and Aniplex is the company behind the anime adaptation, so expect good things. Plus, anime vampires are so much cooler than Twilight ones, so there is another reason to watch it.

Currently, there is no set date, but I am going to guess summer 2010.

Things That Made Me Go WTF: Seriously, Is This Real?

My god. WTF is it? Seriously, is this a joke or is it real? I can’t tell. I have met people like this, so I can’t figure out if she/he is really like that. Also, not all anime fans are like this, most are normal respectable people that are interested in more than just anime.

King Of Thorn English Trailer Up Now

king-of-thornKing Of Thorn had it’s movie announced back in June, and finally we get a trailer. You will have to leave my great blog to see it though, so just go here, but remember to come back.

King of Thorn is about a virus that basically calcifies the body. 100% death rate and no cure in site, they decide to put a bunch of the infected into cryostasis until they have a cure. Well, they don’t get that cure. When everyone wakes up, they learn that the shit hit the fan long ago, but in order to learn what exactly happened, they have to survive first. Monsters, or whatever they are attack them, the thorny vines move, and there are only 7 of them left in the facility. Can they live through it to reach the outside?

Set for a 2010 release worldwide, Sunrise has definitely shown that there will be some good anime coming out then. This movie will probably be my favorite movie of next year for sure. Hopefully they give a better date soon though.

Almost Daily WTF Of The Day: Why, Just Why?

My god, I thought this kid only made one video. I think I’m going to piss on all my DVDs and burn them also.

Damn it, why? I can’t even tell if this is a girl or a guy.

FUNimation Channel To Add Viz Anime To Lineup

key_art_viz_mediaAccording to a press release from FUNi earlier today, Viz will be having some of their shows appearing on FUNi’s channel later this year. Of course, I don’t get FUNi’s channel in my area, so I really have no reason to care. But for the people who do, here is a quote from the press release since I don’t want to type every thing.

The FUNimation® Channel, the premiere anime network from FUNimation Entertainment and OlympuSAT, is adding five new animated series from VIZ Media, LLC to debut throughout late Spring and summer line-ups. Titles include “NANA”, “HONEY AND CLOVER”, “MONSTER”, “BUSO RENKIN” and “HUNTER X HUNTER.”

Now all of you need to make FUNi happy so they can bring it to me one day.
