Clannad Along With 4 Other Shows Getting (SHOCKER) DUBS!

Well, in a surprise announcement no one saws coming because none of this information was leaked out earlier this year.

Clannad (season 1), Blue Drop, Ghost Hound, Legend of the Dark King, and Tears to Tiara will all be getting dubs along with a upgrade program for people who bought it subbed earlier.

No word yet on the cast, but expect an announcement soon. Let’s hope the cast is decent. Well, really anything better than the Burst Angel dub is fine by me. I found that to be terrible.

I myself may not be the biggest dub fan, but since I can upgrade for a small fee, I see no reason not to at least upgrade anyways. At least if it comes with some nice extras like commentaries or something.

Clannad Might Be Getting A Dub

Note: This ^ is not Kotomi. This is Nagisa.

So, according to the cast announcement for Halo Legends, Emily Neves has a credit as Kotomi for an English dub.

Am I surprised? Yes. Do I plan to rebuy if it is true? No. I may like dubs, but Nagisa (Mai Nakahara) is so cute with her current voice actress, and Kotomi’s (Mamiko Noto) is perfect for her.

But, I guess this gives the “I IS NOT BUYINZ A DVD DAT IZ SUBZ OWNLIES BECAUSE FANSUBS R FREE ALL REDDY” a reason to not say that anymore. Not that they would buy it anyways because obviously they have no respect for the companies anyways.

I guess we may be hearing something about his soon though since most anime companies seem to have a hard time keeping things secret. (This is a prime example)

Section 23 Gets Gintama, Living For The Day After Tomorrow, And Hidamari Sketch X 365

I never started watching Gintama on Crunchyroll, but I might as well pick up the DVDs when they are released. If you want a summary of Gintama, you can go to my earlier post here.

Hidamari Sketch X365 is a continuation of the first season and it takes place in Yuno’s second year of school.

Living For The Day After Tomorrow Shoko wanted to be older, and she gets that wish, but at the expense of Karada, Shoko’s brothers ex-girlfriend, losing year on her age. Now the 2 are the same age and must get along in Junior High. Can they make it threw together though.

All these will be coming out in April, with Hidamari Sketch X 365 Complete Collection being $39.98 Along with Living For The Day After Tomorrow being the same price. Gintama Collection 1 will also be the same price.

Mayoi Neko Overrun Promo Posted Online

For a quick explanation of what the show is about, go to my earlier post here.

You can also watch the promo here.

Animation quality looks pretty good, and there are a lot of colors. But, I can’t say if I will like it just yet. There seems to be a tsundere in it, which is always a plus in my opinion. Plus, it has cats.

Currently, it is set to start airing in April of next year, so there are still a few months before you can watch this.

Sentai Filmwors To Release Maria†Holic

Maria†Holic was a favorite of mine that I wasn’t able to finish earlier this year when it was on. The fansubs were barely ever on time and the translation quality seemed pretty bad at times when I saw things that wouldn’t even have a Japanese language equal such as “yall” or “OMG.” But in February I will finally be able to finish watching Maria torture Kannako.

Sentai Filmworks has licensed it for release, meaning it will more than likely be sub only, which I don’t mind since the VAs in Japan are really good in this. But if it were Dub, it more than likely would lose money since this is a relatively unknown title in the US right now.

If you plan to buy it, the Full collection will have an MSRP of $39.99, but expect to be able to find it for at least $10 cheaper at many places.

Also, remember this, it’s a trap.
