Gurren Lagann Films Coming This July From Aniplex USA

Well, we now have the Gurren Lagann  movies up for pre-order exclusively from Bandai’s store online. But that is fine by me since I have been wanting to get this for a while.

The movies are re-tellings of the show with new footage. Typical for a Japanese anime movie based on a popular title that isn’t a shonen one. Some of these movies are good, some aren’t, but fans will buy them anyways.

Currently, the first one is set for release on July 1st with the second one coming out July 30th. So both in the same month.

If you are looking to pre-rder them, the links are below.

Gurren Lagann -Childhood’s End- To Show In San Francisco

gurren_lagann_-_the_movie_-_gurren-hen_limited-01Gurren Lagann fans will soon be able to see the first movie adaptation of the series on September 8th, but, only if you will be in San Francisco at that time.

-Childhood’s End- will be showing at the newly opened Viz Cinema with English Subtitles.

So far, this is the first of 3 to be released in the US. The second was in Japanese theaters in April, so I am expecting a US showing next April or possibly earlier. Either way, you guys are lucky.

Gurren Lagann is the story of 2 guys who dreamed of a different life, one that was on the surface. Well, they get that chance, but learn it isn’t all that great up there. Thus, they set out and meet new people as they try to make the surface a safe place once again.

I know that probably didn’t sound to interesting, but if yo uhaven’t seen Gurren Lagann yet, what are you waiting for? It is amazing.

You can buy all the parts on Amazon here or RightStuf here right now.

Ranka Lee Vocaloid To Be Announced Soon

starThis will definitely be something fun to play with. Making Ranka Lee sing different songs that are horribly wrong will be able to amuse me for a long time.

According to Akiba News, the Rankaloid program should be announced soon. Hopefully they are right.

Megumi Nakajima, who is the Seiyū for Ranka Lee in Macross Frontier, will be lending her voice to the software dev team so they can make it happen. Now if only we could get one of Aya Hirano also. Or even one of my voice would be cool.

Yoko’s Idol Debut CD To Come Bundled With DVD Featuring New Music Video

i05Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Kirameki Yoko Box ~ Pieces of sweet stars~ will contain a new song called “S.T.A.R.S.” and will be sung by Yoko’s Seiyū, Marina Inoue.

It is supposed to be similar to the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Parallel Works music videos from earlier last year.

Let’s hope that it doesn’t cost to much to import it, since it would be awesome to own it.
