The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya season 2 US release details

Well, it’s about time. We finally have a US release date for  the Season 2 box set and it is August 17, 2010.

It will include both English and Japanese voices, English ssubtitles, location scouting videos, Behind the scenes of a music video by Aya Hirano, promo videos, commercials, all the episodes of the Adventures of the ASOS Brigade, and a CD with the opening and ending.

MSRP is $64.98, but we all know it will be cheaper on most sites anyways. Hell, Amazon already has it listed for $44.99

This is a day 1 purchase for me, thats for sure. And it seems there are plenty of people excited for the release on facebook and a couple of the forums I have been on, even if Endless eight is on there. But, we will find out how many people actually buy it come August.

Freak Out Fridays: Keyboard Smashing!

The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya Licensed By Bandai

More great Haruhi news announced today. Bandai has licensed The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya for US release later this year.

Bandai has once again proven to be great to me.

Currently the only place it is announced for theatrical release is Hawaii. Not really sure if this is the only state, but if it is, that sucks.

Haruhi Has Now Invaded Crunchyroll

Well, now Haruhi is available to all without the need  to steal it like many people will surely do anyways. Crunchyroll has added the original Haruhi anime to it’s line-up.

While this isn’t much help for me (I already have all the DVDs) it is helpful for those who haven’t seen it and are trying to save money. Hopefully this will get more people excited about the coming DVD release of Season 2.

Currently the first 4 episodes are  up, the rest will be up later next week.

Dirty Pair Licensed By Nozomi

Well, I can say that I never saw this coming, but I would have rather had some other ones. I guess I will give it a try though since I have been watching some more anime from the past lately.

Dirty Pair follows the antics of Kei and Yuri, 2 workers from the WWWA (World Welfare Works Association) as they help other people with problems for money. They suck though as they leave a trail of destruction every where they go, thus, they received the name Dirty Pair.

I know one thing for sure, if you like the way new anime looks, you might as well skip this. Dirty Pair is 25 years old now, so it more than likely hasn’t aged as well as some old shows. but, since art work has never really been the only reason for me not to enjoy something, I can get past that.

Currently, there is no set date, but pre-orders are up on RightStuf. Also, it will  be subtitle only, but any true anime fan, even if they enjoy dubs more, should be able to accept that if they really want this.

4Kids Loses $5 Million In Third Quarter

d6179dd31f2da0_fullYeah, 4Kids really did this ^

4Kids, the worst anime company in the US ever, has finally got what was coming to them. They have lost $5 Million in just 3 months, which is because they suck hair donkey balls when it comes to releasing anime in the way it is supposed to be released. BUt my complaining before didn’t make them learn, and they are coming ever so closer to the expected shut down this year.

But how do they lose that much money? Videos games and older anime watchers is how. Video games distract kids in the mornings, older anime watchers watch shows that are good, so without the 2 main people that would possibly watch their shows they license, they lose.

All I know is that this is a great step forward, FUNimation is making more money, 4Kids is losing money. Can they fix this? I don’t know. But I still would like for the people that work for them to be able to find another job somewhere, we are already having enough unemployed people.

Beast Player Erin Added To Crunchyroll

10e2c620253c7d3a932f7cfda3c2d7d21251941294_mainWhiule looking around to see what was new on Crunchyroll, I discovered this show was added yesterday. Episodes 1 through 4 are available now on this page, and more are to be added in the coming weeks.

Beast Player Erin follows the story of a young girl named Erin as she controls a beast that no man has ever been able to before. As she goes on in life, she ends up in a between a war of 2 kingdoms and must find a way to end it.

I will probably watch it if I get the time or after I finish REC and Shion no Ou.
