Yen Plus To Go Out Of Print

But it will be online for free. They have just decided to go to an ad based service online to cut down on cost and to make the kids that refuse to buy anything happy. They be publishing the individual manga volumes though, so don’t worry, they aren’t taking everything off the shelves.

As for people that subscribed, you will get your money back. So everyone is happy in a way. I myself am saddened to see another manga anthology magazine going out. But I guess as long as the company stays, it will be fine.

Spice and Wolf II, Eden Of The East Movies, And Chobits Licensed By FUNimation

Well, not too long ago today, FUNi announced 3 more acquisitions. Spice and Wolf II, Eden of the East movies, and Chobits (rescue) were all licensed.

Currently, they are all set for release in 2011 on DVD and BluRay.

Damn, even  a year long wait for a rescued title? FUNi is seriously going to have to start speeding up since Sentai is so fast and is becoming more and more popular.

Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost Trailer Posted

The second movies trailer is now up after the movie being delayed to add in an extra 30 minutes of footage.

Here is the link to the trailer for all to watch it.

I know the first movie was a retelling of the series, but I am not sure if the second is a continuation of that or if it is a proper sequel. I guess we will find out soon enough though since the movie starts showing in Japanese theaters on March 13, 2010.

Twilight Korean Manga Coming Out On March 16

Okay, so, who actually wants this? I don’t and I don’t see many people other than the Twilight fan girls who want everything related to it they can get.

Yen press will be publishing it and Stephanie Meyer says it is great and has so much hard work put into it by Korean manhwaga Young Kim. I think she is just saying this to get more sales for a series that is slowly losing popularity.

Story wise, Twilight is unoriginal, boring after about 200 pages, and not worth a re-read.  So I don’t see why it is liked by all these girls and middle aged moms.  I enjoyed it and all, but not the fanaticism that follows it.

Evangelion 1.11 Is Top Selling Blu-Ray Release In Japan This Year

All this does  is make the wait for the US BluRay release of Evangelion 1.11 even longer. I haven’t seen the movie yet since I wanted to wait for a US license and since FUNimation will be releasing the Evangelion 1.11 BluRay on March 9, 2010.

Though, the surprising part is that Bakemonogatari didn’t beat it. It was the highest for quite a few months. Not that I mind. I enjoy Bakemonogatari also, but Evangelion is better in my opinion. I’m just glad that Queen’s Blade didn’t beat either one even though it will probably be the guilty pleasure of mine when it is released next summer here in the US.

If you want to rest of the listing’s for the year, go here. (It’s in Japanese for the most part)

Pure Genius: Cat Stealing Your Money Bank

Japan always has the coolest little toys and stuff. This one doesn’t disappoint either. It comes in puppy and kitten form with each being in brown or white.

You can order it here.

Eden Of The East’s Second Movie Delayed By 2 Months

The second movie has been delayed to March 2010 for production reasons. They are adding 30 minutes to it so the story is expanded allowing for better quality.

The first movie is still on track for this Saturday in Japan.

FUNimation will probably get these movies sometime next year since they announced that they had licensed the original anime back at Otakon this year.
